So how exactly does this site work?

Steal This Trip was founded on the belief that it shouldn't be hard to find real authentic experiences when you travel. One of the things I always struggled with was finding cool unique experiences in the places I wanted to visit. Every travel site promotes the exact same attractions, and while some of them may be fun, a lot of the life-changing experiences only present themselves to those that look for them. While I'd love to be able to spend a week everywhere I visit, meeting the locals and picking their brains, we recognize that that's not realistic. That's why Steal This Trip aims to compile the most unique attractions in any given place so that you can spend more of your time exploring, and less of it planning.

There are two main categories of content on the site, known as places and trips.

Places: These are articles, blog posts, ideas, and more, all grouped by locations. So for example, say you wanted to know what there was to do in a specific city or town. That's when you would click on places. This will give you an overview of all the content we have on any given place. One thing the places section won't do is lay out a perfect itinerary for a given location. We don't want to tell you how to do your trip, but instead just want to give you some ideas of what to do when you're there. You can browse places using the bar at the top of the page and then by searching your location or using the map.

Trips: These are longer-term adventure blogs and videos with no set location. They might be multi-day trips, take you through cities and towns, on back roads, or even beyond roads altogether. What's different between trips and places is that trips will give you a rough idea of an itinerary and places to stay. These are more full-service planned adventures. That being said, we encourage you to explore and adapt our trips any way you see fit! At the end of the day it's your adventure, so make sure to make it special for you.

I sincerely hope you'll enjoy the site and all the content we have to offer. Remember, our goal is always for you to steal our trip.
